I'm playing with one more prototype right now. Refining and pushing the envelope. I might, might have found a little calling for myself. I love playing with all the leftover little doodads from the ornaments. I may play enough to make my own dragon's hoard of earrings. All original and melding with my almost retired onesies.
So, my soft deadline is October of next year to sell. I may be ready by December's season. I'm not pushing my yield high. Just enough to catch a different market and the people who build empires on stocking stuffer gifts.
Quiet Aside: The list of requests grows and patience comes with each interest. I couldn't have ask for a better escape from being devoured from my own work. The detour will make me stronger. The work will no doubt reflect it. With sincere thanks to whomever you are, I value your input and wisdom. Meantime, I'm putting The Nutcracker Sweet back into the mix for research. That includes reading and listening to the oeuvre. Maybe even requesting the ballet on DVD from the library. I had to drop it last year, because of other obligations and I lost steam behind the project. I was so far out of the water that cheesy and cheap was the only thing coming out of my pencil. I still wonder what I could bring to the theme without recycling older and classical approaches. Then interpreting it skillfully. Seems daunting, but I know musical and literary themes fuel the fire for some artists.
I know that in the least from Kandinsky... OUCH. Time is getting away from me. Gotta finish my meal.
Have a good night.
As ever, stay hungry and curious.
